AquaLung Maverick BCD

is the AquaLung Maverick BCD a good bc??

Its weight integrated and has good pockets.

It doesnt have the sure locks on it though!!!

Hi Pete,
The maverick was my first BC. It is a good functional jacket style BC. No problems with it.
I don't know what you mean by "sure locks"?

Is it just the one you are looking at that does not have the sure lock. I was under the impression that all 2003 models would have that ?

Good general BC. Make sure you dive with one before you buy.

note: Sure lock is the 2003 replaces the velcro to stop integrated weights from falling out. It is a 1 way, easy realse plastic clip.

I bought the Maverick BCD last year, and find it a good, basic BCD. Some post-purchase observations:
1. The pockets, although large, are positioned quite high and can be difficult to access.
2. My model has no carry handle. My next BCD will have one.
3. It could use a couple more D rings

I am definitely not unhappy with my purchase... just some observations that have come with use. It does me just fine for recreational diving.
