Let's put it this way:

On my recent trip to Maui, I had to get my regs serviced. The techs made no mention of it, and did not seem too grumpy at all.

Also, while they were being serviced, the shop's owner lent me her reg set (Legend LX). While nice, I still preferred my Micra ADJ... it was more comfortable in my mouth, and felt easier to breathe from.

YMMV.

BTW: I've been hearing rumours of discontinuation for at least 4 years -- it seems they may just be discontinuing the current configuration (it was shortly after I bought my MicraADJ/Cousteau that they started only making the MicraADJ/Titan combo).

Just a thought...

Codyjp:
are there any good reasons why i should NOT buy one of these regs? i do hear that they are discontinueing them which isn't good to hear. I have heard of some issues of them free flowing on the surface.

my other option is the XS sea air trimetal. but if you get the free octo with the aqua lung that is hard to pass up.

what do you think?

No good reason, especially if you're a smaller or petite diver.
As I recall, these regs were originally a high end kids regulator and
for divers with dentures.

You just can't go wrong with AquaLung...they have a big-time
reputation to uphold.:film:

The straight up Micra's (not ADJ) are part of the AquaLung SASY package that seems to have been discontinued -- can't find any reference to it on AL's site.

Maybe they are completely discontinuing the reg!
