Aqua Lung Matrix 3.0 dive computer

I purchased the Matrix 3.0 (I believe it is the same as the Quantum X from Apeks) exactly 1 year ago. Last week in the middle of a dive the screen went completely black and beeped for the rest of the dive. After I surfaced I tried to reset it and it seems that it is completely dead. Has anyone else heard of this or experienced the same issue?
