I would like to purchase a replacement deflation tube for my Aqua Lung BCD. The deflation tube is a black corrugated rubber tube about 1 ft long with approximately 20mm[0.825”] ID. I can post a picture of the broken tube and of the BCD if that would help.
If this part is no longer available can I use 20 mm ID silicon rubber tubing to repair the BCD?

If it's a standard diameter, try diveriteexpress.com for a replacement hose. A couple of things to consider: 1. Is there a pull dump on your BC (likely) and if so, you have to replace the hose with one the same length, or you could buy a whole new inflator/hose assembly. 2. 1 ft is pretty short for a standard BC, usually they're 16" at least. I like a short inflator hose, but make sure you measure yours before ordering another. 3. There is a local aqualung dealer in San Antonio (Dive world) that could order an aqualung replacement part for you, but maybe you've already thought of that.

The idea of just getting some corrugated silicone or similar material hose and putting it on is kind of interesting. The hoses you buy specifically for BCs have flat ends that provide a good sealing surface on the BC elbow and inflator. So, you'd have to make sure you could get a good seal.

Hi MattBoy,

Thanks for your response. I will contact my local Aqualung dealer and the factory directly for a replacement.
