I am moving to Playa del Carmen for work some time next week!! WOOHOO!! I was wondering if anyone knows a good way to find a place to live (either a website, or physical message board once I'm there)?? Ideally, I would like to have roommates and not be too too far from work (which is near the beach).
Any help, tips, advice, places to shop.... etc. would be MUCH appreciated!!!

Thanks!

:( I have nothing to add in the way of information.... only some extremely intense jealousy... I LOVE Playa....

Playa.info would be a good bet. For this sort of information LocoGringo won't be much help.

Thanks! I've posted a couple of questions on playa.info.

Hardest thing right now seems to be finding a cheap, safe place to stay while I look for more permanent accomodations. All the places people have recommended are either very expensive or full up! Any recommendations??

This lady, Sally Wood Evans (sally@cbpuertoaventuras.com) is a real estate agent we've talked to at some length about purchasing a place in Puerto Aventuras or nearby. You might contact her, and see if she has any advice about rentals or other property. She's very pleasant and quick to return e-mails.

Can we stay with you when we come down to dive the caves ? :D

you sure are getting around - hoboken, maldives, playa. not bad at all. we own a place in puerto aventuras and, therefore, know the area a little. it should be very easy to find something in playa once you are there. however, i don't think any website will help you find what you are looking for. can't your new employer help you find something? otherwise, i would recommend talking to Dennis of Aquanauts in puerto aventuras. he is a really nice guy and also canadian. he or one of the guys in his shop (some of them live in playa) may have some ideas.

Hola Divinglife! I see we belong to some of the same forums:14: ...Can't wait to meet you down here in Playa! Good luck with your new job. With whom are you working?
