Hello All, Apollo Bio Fins(or)Scuba Pro Twin Jets?
Can anyone give me any feedback/Comments on which fin You would rate as the better fin?
I Wear a mens size 9 in dive boot.(3mm Soft sole and 5mm hard sole boots used.)
What would be a proper fit in each fin for me?
Any information on about sizing for Apollo fin (or) Scuba pro Twin Jets is very much Appreciated.
Open to suggestions on other fins you are using and like.

Regards...
How many day's till spring? Let the countdown begin.
I hate the snow. It's a four letter word
I hate the cold, another four letter word
I hate the wind, yet another four letter word.
Snow Tire, two four letter words, in a row no less.
Snow bank, Two sets of two words that describe a season and its conditions. arrrrg
I love the spring because winter is finally gone and summer is on its way. Spring and summer are both six letter words. What's not to like?

ScubaPro Twin Jets are fantastic fins. Just remember the colors require material changes and thus they aren't just cosmetic. For example the blue are extremely flexible, the grey are a bit stiffer, and the black are darned near hard.

I've never tried Twin Jets, but I own two pairs of Bio Fins (one sized for my wetsuit booties, one sized for my dry suit rock boots). I wouldn't trade them for anything in the world. I'll never wear anything else.

I had paddle fins when I first started diving and I hated them - constant leg cramps, and they just never felt natural. Well about 5 months after I started diving, I fell on an exit from a shore dive and broke 3 bones and tore a ligament in my right foot. Unfortunately, I was just 10 weeks away from a planned trip to Bonaire.

I had the great good fortune to go to an orthopedist who was also an avid diver. While my foot healed, he recommended that I get the Bio Fins because of the soft rubber foot pocket and the fact that they give such great propulsion with very little effort. That meant very little stress on the healing bones in my broken foot. Well, let me tell you - they were a dream. While the shore entries and exits in Bonaire were sometimes tricky (thank God for helpful buddies), I was a total fish in the water and never had a single leg cramp. I barely feel my fins.

When I got my dry suit with rock boots, I didn't think I'd be able to get Bios to fit them, so I tried Turtle fins - HATED them!!! I just can't deal with paddle fins anymore. So I bought another pair of Bios in LL - Apollo's version of XL and they FIT!

I wear a men's size 8 bootie and a M Bio Fin fits perfectly. Not sure about a men's 9. I think you'd be safe to check their sizing. Now my rock boots are another matter - their HUGE like combat boots, so for a men's size 9 rock boot, I wear a size LL Bio Fin - and it's a bit snug to take off - I always have to work it off a little bit.

Best of luck making your choice!

I'm very happy with my biofins.
Size 8 Men's 3mm booties fit in a medium biofin well.
My Bare Iceboots are taller, and I have to wedge them into the relatively flat foot pocket of the biofins. Once wedged, I barely need the straps to hold them on.

I tried the twinjets when purchasing my fins, but they seemed a bit wider and I needed to swim with my legs farther apart or they'd hit. Maybe I'm just bowlegged, but the apollo's were just the ticket for me.

Edit: Welcome to the board, by the way.

I have used both fins. I photo and need fins that give me precise movements. I spent 30+ years in jet fins and made the leap to splits 3 years ago. I really love them and find I can do everything in my splits that I could do in the paddle fins. However, there are differences in the splits that I have found interesting, mosltly as a result of the stiffness of the fins.

I used the SP twin jets first and liked them enough to buy them immediately.

I used my sister's Apollo fins and didn't get along with them at all. I found them to be too soft for my needs. As a result of the softness, I found it difficult to get instant reaction to my finning and found it difficult to position myself to take pictures.

Then I tried a pair of the SP Twin speeds and found my new favorite fins. They are quite stiff, so it takes a little more leg to use them (not nearly as much as a paddle). They are FAST and powerful when in hard currents. Due to the stiffness, I can make very precise movements and my favorite finning technique-the frog-is a breeze. If they have any drawbacks it is that they are very long and take up more room in my travel bag. Worth it IMHO.

Rascal, You have the same size feet I do. My SP Twin Jets are medium, and wear them with 5 or 7mm boots.

One other comment on the color/material, I was told the black ones sink. I have the yellow.

Thank You!
Your insite on the Apollo Bios is Very helpful.

I have both, and the Tusa splits, Scubapro jets, and Atomic Splits. (Dive shop manager) I like the Scubapro Twin Jets the best. Black. Good comfortable, reliable fin.
