OK, how about a choice between the TX50 and the ATX50?

I can buy a TX50 for $170 that a guy bought 1yr agao and never used at all, OR, buy a ATX brand new for $299.

There isnt much of a difference between the two.The ATX has a slightly smaller 2nd stage body and a very downsized exhaust piece compared to the TX 2nd stage.If you want less bubble interference go with the TX.If you want more compact and not worried about slightly more bubble interference go with the ATX.

To me the TX50 sounds like a good deal.I dive with an atx200 and a tx40 backup.Both regs are great.

CTX is the German-market model designation of the ATX series. I think LP is sourcing some of their Apeks stock from Germany.

Well, the purge button logo says "CTX" rather than "ATX." Other than that they are the same, at least the one I've examined. Looked exactly like my ATX50.

Am I going to need a 1/2" to 3/8" adapter to go from my 6ft LP hose TO the 2nd stage as well as the 1st stage?

I have one 1/2 - 3/8 adapter for the 1st stage, but just now thought I'll probbaly need to have one for the 2nd stage as well, huh?

No. The second stage is 'standard'. Your current hose should fit fine
