So I just bought my first reg/octo/SPG after renting for almost 2 years decided it was time. Plus I got a good deal on it (520$ CAD for XTX100+XTX40+SPG+Necklace for Octo). Just wondering what I can expect because as I've done some research this is a fairly highend reg, so what will the breathing be like?
Last reg I used was an AquaLung from the LDS rental, I don't remember the model. Will it be easier/harder to breath through it? I tend to suck air a fairbit while diving (though stopping smoking has helped this).

You really don't want us to spoil the surprise do you? I have a few apeks and they breath.....!

Just go try them out for yourself and report back LOL!

Or, just look into my eyes and read my mind :blinking:

You tease lol

hahah. damn that is a good deal on the 100/40

This is good to know as I have been trying to decide on which reg to get. This was one I had only glanced at as I am not familiar with the brand (I am new to diving and really only know of Mares, Aqualung, and Scubapro as "good" brands). Thanks for posting!

As far as regs go Apeks, Aqualung and Scubapro are some of the more reliable and proven brands.

Having owned all 3 I am going back to my trusted aqualung legends :)
