I'm planning on buying a BP/wing system soon. I'm a single-tank, dry suit, NJ wreck diver. I'm pretty much sold on the Oxycheq Signature wing, from reading threads here and trying to analyze various product web sites. But a friend suggested I take a look at the new Apeks WTX3.
Do you have any opinions regarding the strengths and weaknesses of the two wings? They both provide the 30 pounds or so of lift that's about right for me.
Here are some of my impressions for you to react to. They're both donuts (at least the Oxycheq is), and I'm partial to that concept. The Oxy seems bulletproof, with its double wall and materials, and it seems more adaptable, with the long strap slots (I don't know what plate I'll get yet). Very important, the Oxy is designed for minimum drag and good manners, but I don't know anything about the Apeks in this regard. The Apeks' funny D-ring tends to turn me off--how could a good product have that? Is the centered tap of the Apeks inflator a plus or a minus? Oh, and the Oxy has a "history," and it's a good one.
Here are web pages for the two:

Thoughts, suggestions, experiences, etc., all welcome. Thanks in advance!
