Hi all,

I see most of the posts relating to the wtx harness (not the one-piece) and wing system as being for sale, with any old opinions being expressed years ago. So I wondered if anyone knew that latest on this kit? Has it suffered big problems? Has anyone bought it new recently with happy results? Bad results?

I hope it's as nice as it seems it was a few years ago :-)

Thanks very much,

Adam

I have dived that harness off and on for several years and several of my commercial friends dive it now. It is rugged and can be set up any way you like it, BP with or without. I dive it without because of steel tanks. Weight pouches are the best. Now my only complaint is I hate Apeks wings, mainly the shape and they run large. Try one on before purchasing they do run large. BTW you can use most any other wing with this harness. One of the more expensive systems as a complete unit. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply! Good to know you're still happy with it. In all honesty I would prefer a one-piece harness and BP but I am travelling light and need something that will work for wreck/tec but that I can also teach in (this looks similar to jacket style with quick releases and helps with rescue demos).

I'll see if I can find a dealer who has one in stock over here (NZ) to try, Apeks is fairly thin on the ground here.

One more question that has occurred - how easy did you find it to dump air using the bottom left dump valve while in horizontal trim? Did you have to roll much to achieve this?

Thanks,
Adam
