hi there guys
am new to scubaboard and wondered if anyone out there can help me.
just spend a hod load of cash on a new apeks reg set (xtx 200) but unfortunately the new apeks mouthpiece doesn't fit right at all. i have managed to get one old style mouthpiece from apeks but that's all they had left. would anyone know where i could get old style apeks mouthpieces or another make of mouthpiece that fit apeks? apeks seem to be a different size from most regulators unfortunately
cheers

Did you try a Comfo-Byte? I've been using them for years and they are very comfortable. If you are new to diving, remember not to clinch on the mouthpiece. Try to relax your jaw and use the mouthpiece just so it doesn't get away from you unexpectedly.

Personally I hate the aqualung/apex mouth pieces, I've got those jax moldable ones

thanks for feedback

unfortunately it's the comfabite mouthpiece that is giving me the trouble.
i know what you mean about not clenching down on it but it just doesn't fit right.

I'm OK with the Apeks mouthpiece and use the standard ones on my twin setup but my single cylinder regs have the jax mouldable mouth piece. It cost about 12 UK pounds - you soak them in boiling water then bite on it; as it cools it sets to fit your exact mouth and dentition - its almost like it isn't there when u are diving.
