Apeks has recently released their Flight regulator (super small, super light, and cold-water rated, so not just for warm-water holiday use) which has lightweight braided hoses, and these are made in-house at their Blackburn factory, so they have the 'normal' Apeks connectors and hose protectors.
I have just had a reg hose and an octo hose into the office, and they are starting to sell the hoses as separate units, so if you are wanting to lighten your reg set, here is another option.
Really nice finishing on the hoses, and the prices over here in the UK for standard-length is very competitive against other similar products.
