The second stages are identical. The difference is in the first stage. The 200 is newer and breathes a little better at deeper depths but both are excellent regs. Given the price difference I'd go with the ATX100 myself.

I've not seen an "ATX100" .....so if you mean TX 100 vs ATX200 read on

Actually the second stage is smaller on the ATX200. I think it is stated in the literature as 25% smaller than the TX100. The first stages are very similar facilitating the similar designs to get that unrestricted airflow. There is also a cosmetic difference in that the TX 100 has a brushed chrome finish and the ATX 200 has a gloss black chrome finish. Both are great regs.

Oh yeah I really really like my ATX 200!!! ;) http://www.aqualung.com/pdfs/ApeksCatalogComplete.pdf

The ATX100 is not available in the US but you can get it from DiveInn Scubastore. The difference in the ATX100 from TX100 is the second stage. The ATX100 has the same second stage as the ATX200 but the first stages on the ATX100 and TX100 are the same. :)

Hose routing on the first stage is a little different. And by little I just mean that the hoses come out at a different angle, otherwise the ports are in the same spot. For doubles, some people prefer the ATX 100 because of the angle at which the hoses depart the first stage.

I heard the ATX200 first stage is less bulky and less heavy than the ATX100 first stage (may be nice when travelling).
Is this true and is the weight difference significant?

Thanx,

Wouter
