I'm confused by Apek's catalog. How many 1st stages are there and whats the diff between them. I see a couple of diff versions on the ATX100, ATX50 , etc.

HOW many models of 1st stages does APEKS make?

Whats the YOKE models?

I know of four models. However they are almost identical inside. Mainly external differences. Apexs offers each first stage in eithor Dinn or yoke configuration.

Can you tell me what these model numbers are?

From memory (had 6 beers tonight):

Unsealed regs:

US1 - 1 x 3/8" LP port, 1 x 7/16" HP port
US4 - 4 x 3/8" LP port, 1 x 7/16" HP port
UST - 1 x 1/2" LP port, 3 x 3/8" LP port, 2 x 7/16" HP port, swivel, aka T20, AT20

Sealed regs:

DS1 - 1 x 3/8" LP port, 1 x 7/16" HP port
DS4 - 4 x 3/8" LP port, 4 x 7/16" HP port
DST - 1 x 1/2" LP port, 3 x 3/8" LP port, 2 x 7/16" HP port, swivel, aka TX40/50, ATX40/50
TX100 - 1 x 1/2" LP port, 3 x 3/8" LP port, 2 x 7/16" HP port
ATX100 - 1 x 1/2" LP port, 3 x 3/8" LP port, 2 x 7/16" HP port, satin
ATX200 - 1 x 1/2" LP port, 3 x 3/8" LP port, 2 x 7/16" HP port, black
ATX200 - 1 x 1/2" LP port, 3 x 3/8" LP port, 2 x 7/16" HP port, satin

...I think.

I was elsewhere.

Oh yeah, and most if not all of these are available in either yoke or DIN fitting - that's the style of fitting used to attach the regulator to the tank.

Made an edit to the above - forgot the UST.

Hi its reasonably simple once you know the british thought patterns:

US-unsealed
DS-drysealed
T---turret
!---1port
4---4 ports.

now permutate all the codes and you get

US1 Unsealed with 1 LP port
US4 Unsealed with 4 LP ports
DST Drysealed with a turret 4 LP + 2 HP
DS4 Drysealed no turret but 4 LP ports +2HP

HP ports are all 7/16" unf
LP ports are 1 off 1/2"unf + 3 off 3/8"unf

hope that helps

Brian,

Thanks for that explanation. The numbering system has driven me crazy until you laid it out on the table.
