Apeks 1st stage with SP 2nd's

I am currently in the process of setting up my doubles.

Along with the order, I have ordered for 2 SP MK17 DIN to be used with my G250HP for primary and R390 as backup. But for some reason, the LDS can't confirm me as yet how much longer would I need to wait for the DIN version of MK17s. Since the LDS also carries APEKS, they also suggested DS4 for my setup.

I know that such questions are being asked before in some previous posts. I am wondering if I will have to settle with APEKS DS4s for my 1st stages, would there be any performance problem with regards to pairing them with my G250HP and R390?

Personally, I would prefer not to mix brands for servicing ease so my preference is toward the MK17s. But who knows what the outcome will be so I would like to have your comments on the possibilities of matching DS4 with SP 2nd's.

It took about four weeks to get my MK 17 DIN regs last summer. the wait should be a lot shorter now.

Of course, a Mk 17 DIN is just a Mk 17 with a universal DIN kit so a customer service oriented LDS would just do the conversion in house with a couple of universal DIN kits and then swap the yokes and DIN kits when the MK 17 DIN's arrive.
