I have a pair of AP inspiration 2L steel tanks that don't want to take standard scuba valves. I called multiple shops and they gave me er heard of a tank not taking the standard 3/4" thread. Do the AP inspiration tanks take a special valve? Does anyone have a thread size/pitch or source? Pics on the way. Thanks.

Guessing it’s an M25. Ignoring that it’s a euro valve, I would guess they won’t fill them for you because they’re not DOT stamped. If you travel to Europe, I’d bring them there and try to sell at some point. If not, find someone with a home fill station.

it should say M25x2 on the tank neck

these are european tanks so you will need european valves

they also are not technically DOT/PHMSA legal for use in the US

Cannot they better that what's been already stated. M25x2 and 25x200 ISO are the most common threads in Europe these days.

Here might be a good source to find the right valves.
