I haven't dove all season sad to say, but something sparked my interest. I heard they sunk something at hathaways pond for divers, I know about the car and the boat, has anyone heard or seen anything. Thanks

Ask Soggy.

He seems to have spent a lot of his DIR training there this summer.

Yeah, I have far too many dives in that dumb pond this year. :) It's a nice place to go if you want some insta-depth, though, as you can get to 55 ft or so with only a short swim, which makes for good ascent/descent practice and bag shooting practice.

There is nothing new that I have seen besides the Saab and the "Field and Sea." But, that doesn't mean there isn't anything else there maybe on the left side of the pond.

I guess if they sunk a tractor trailer someone would of heard something. The person who told me couldn't remember were they heard it and you know how stories get a bit distorted. Thanks anyway

Nothing new that I can think of. Been there a few times this summer as well. Great place to work on skills and fresh water. Gotta love that part. no salt to wash off :D

Did one tank there today to christen the new drysuit. WOW, it's a whole new world diving dry - I was like a little kid with a new toy.

Saw something new (to me). There's a lawn tractor with a snow plow blade attached sitting in about 30 ft near the platform. So much for clearing the ice for a hockey game!

Got a picture of my buddy Jim sitting on it with a bud can in his hand.

Tomorrow it's Scargo Lake to scout the contours for Jim's ice fishing expedition. It was reported that in 1971 a UFO crashed through the ice there. Hmmm, maybe bring the lift bag. ;)

Welcome to the world of diving dry (well, most of the time). Where is Scargo lake? Marshfield?

Thanks

I was worried about it leaking as I bought the suit on eBay, but I was dry as a bone.

Scargo is in Dennis, off 6a near Corporation Beach. (There's a small map further down the page on the UFO story link.

I've been going to Dennis for my whole life every summer and I've never heard that UFO through the ice story. X-cellent stroy. Where's Agents Mulder and Scully when you need them?

Well it's going to remain a mystery to me for a while. I had to tend to some domestic chores before settling down to the Pats/Sox extravaganza.
