Im booked on the Nov. 1 trip to Santa Barbara Island on the Great Escape. Anyone else want to go and buddy up? If you've never been on the Great Escape this is a nice boat and crew. Since it's a long boat ride the trip is a little pricer than normal - $160 (plus maybe a few more dollars fuel surcharge) but Santa Barbara Island is a lot of fun. I've been out there twice before and always saw lots of sea lions. On each trip we've had dives where we had as many as 20 -40 sea lions swimming with is.

The trip is being charted by Reefseekers http://www.reefseekers.com/FLYERS/2008 RSD boat sked (UD 10-7-08).pdf
Call Ken Kurtis (310-652-4990) to book. 10 spots were available as of Sunday. Board the night before, 2 AM departure.

Here is a photo I took in March from the back of the boat as a group of sea lions followed two divers back to the boat.
