Anyone up for Gilboa??? - Tuesday July 19th

Hello everyone.

I'll be meeting a buddy at Gilboa on Tuesday at 10am. If anyone is interested in joining us let me know. I'm figuring we'll have some good vis given it's a weekday. Just need to hope the thunderstorms don't interfere.

p.s. What are the current water temps at Gilboa? It's been a few weeks since I was there. Realize it will still be cold near the tubes (i.e. the spring) but it would be really nice to wear my wetsuit and not the drysuit.

The bottom was in the 30's still. I want to say 40's by the tubes. Surface is toasty, though.

Paula, I was just there yesterday.
Don't know the exact temps, but I'll label it COLD.

I swapped out my thinner gloves for the henderson gold 7m on the second dive. I'm SUCH a wimp with the hands.

My DB went with NO GLOVES. But then he's a 'bit' more manly than I. :gr1:

I'd still be sticking with my drysuit, even if I made it a point to stay away from the tubes or the deep side. I'd end up too chilled for a second dive. But one could be doable, I'd want more than my 3mil though. :11:

It was about 53°F at the tubes.... very toasty.... well...maybe not... It just felt great to not be wearing dry gloves....

Well I did take it a little easy on you......
The first time I dove with DMP I lost my car keys. We had to completely unpack the car. Searched it, a lot. Searched it some more. Unpacked it again.

Then I found it in my inside jacket pocket.
I figure if he didn't kill me then.........

I've got a lot of good things to learn from you. And I really do appreciate your willingness to help. (And find rocks.)
