Actually i have never heard it pronounced verbally as anything other than a single tank adapter. Now you got me thinking

Hah! Sorry, I saw that you typed "a STA"... "a ESS-TEE-AY" isn't right, so I figured you were thinking "a stay" when you typed.
I need to get out and go for a dive... no one wants to go though
