Thanks for all the replies, and sorry about not getting back to the thread sooner, but we've been out near Wayag where there's no internet.

So good news, we were able to source a "somewhat" suitable part here in Sorong and have got the genset up and running again. It's not the perfect solution but should get us through for a few months until we should have some family come for a visit. A working genset is good, because that means the compressor will work and we can fill bottles... and fill lots of them we have in the past few weeks. The diving is fantastic and for all those coming to Sorong, you'll have an awesome time! If you happen to see our catamaran "Perry" when you're in the area, be sure to wave and say hi!

Thanks- Matt

Hi Matt - where were you anchored in Wayag? We earlier from Singapore for Sorong, so I did not have time or wifi to get back to you. Good to hear that your genset up and running again. We visited Wayag for about three days, before returning to Kawe. We might have passed by your catamaran best sailing, charlie

We were anchored a bit further up the main channel than where most of the liveaboards stay. Favorite dive turned out to be Bommie Bowl over by the ranger station. Magic Rock over by Uranie was also fantastic. Although we really haven't had a dive here yet that disappointed!

I agree that Magic Rock is a nice site. Try Figure 8 for a night dive. To the south @ Kawe, Black Rock, Eagle Rock 1 and 2, and Changgo are excellent sites, in particular when the current is running. For photographers in your group, take a wide-angle set up.
