live aboard diving Komodo?

We are looking at the more $$ friendly boats for 2010 (also looking at the Ari Jaya), and are not having much success with finding any first hand reviews.

Thanks for any and all information.

David

No experience with the Seahorse, but have you checked the Grand Komodo operation?

Raja Ampat Liveaboard Diving, also Komodo, Alor, other Indonesia

Reasonably priced boats, decent food, good experienced crews. We had no problems diving on the MV Putri Papua. No gold plated service, but then you want reasonable prices. Indonesian owned and operated. Check them out.

Seahorse was OK. Quite a bit of turnover on the crew. I was on the boat a year ago. Not sure of current status.

Some buddies of mine are booked on Sea Horse for the last 2 weeks in Nov. Can get you some info after that date - or is that too late for you?

There seem to be quite a few cheaper boats that make noises that they will go to Raja Ampat but in fact it doesn't happen. It costs operators a fair amount to go there. How about Felicia?

That might suit your needs.
