great little solo kayak dive last weekend---vis was 8+ feet with comfortable temps below 20'--I stayed @ a max depth of 30'....Would esp be good if you had kayak etc .....

btw, this is the 3rd or 4th time I've ask & no one has responded in the past--some are missing out on 'good' TB diving, this time of year....Let me know......

where is Toledo Bend?

On the Texas/Louisiana border just west of Leesville, La. & south of Shreveport, La...---look @ the red dot below- it's also the largest man made body of water in the south and the fifth largest in surface acres in the United States(lol---I had to look that up)

Hey I just looked up the distance and it is 6 hours drive for me. I can not do it this weekend but may be interested later in Sept.

I looked up on a map & saw how far Copperas Cove is from TB--- a long haul, lol......I'm probably out for weekends in Sept, heading to Fiji from the 8th thru the 19th & college fb games the latter 1/3rd.....Will have to do my diving on Wed & Fri afternoons, I'm off those 2 half days(only live about 50 minutes from TB South State Park boat launch where I've been going out of this year in the kayak)......

We live in Houston, and Toledo Bend isn't any further than going to Travis. Is it pretty good? Where do you get air? We have tanks but if we wanted re-fills.....

Just looking for some new fresh water to blow bubbles in. Can't afford to pay the rates for the Gulf trips except a couple of times a year. The rest of the time, we have been in Canyon, San Marcos River and of course Travis. Getting old and want some new turf.

Thanks for any info you can pass along.
