Anybody up to join me for a shore dive Saturday? Since I've only dove Leo and Coral Beach I was thinking one of those, but I'm open to anything Malibu up to Santa Barbara. Let me know!

Zach

I'm going for sure on Sunday, but I may be able to do a dive tomorrow too.
I can't do it too early though. If 10 O'clock works for you, please let me know.
I'm already going to Leo Carillo on Sunday, so I would rather dive Redondo or even Malaga Cove.
Malaga Cove is great but has a hike from the Parking Lot to the beach and the entrance is pretty rocky. Well worth the hassel though. These are all suggestions, I'll dive in my neighbors pool if you want as well.

Hey Ren,
I haven't dove either of those, so I'm interested. It'll take me two hours to drive down there so after ten is better anyhow. I have one other buddy who wants to go and will go wherever. Is Redondo Vet's Park? Is the entry acceptable to do in doubles? I'd like to get some practice in, if not I'll use single.

Zach

Hi Zack,

Redondo is Vet's park. It's kind of boring and not much to see during the day. However, I just love getting wet. It's perfect to test out equipment and or entries and exits. I wish I could tell you what the waves are like, but haven't been out surfing these days. I will tell you that we have had to call dives because the swells were too large for an entry. I'm very patient though, so I will tell you to bring both set ups. You can try the doubles and if you decide to switch then just switch gear. We will also have the option of going a little further south if the swells are still too big and try Malago Cove. The cool thing about Malago Cove is that it's a North facing beach. When all other beaches are getting pounded, you can always have a relatively easy entry off the rocks in Malago Cove without even loosing Viz. If you are willing to make the drive, I will meet you for sure.

Sounds good to me. I'll give you a call tonight and we can set up a time/meeting place.

I don't think a 20' shore dive quite qualifies for the underwater beer  Now after the dive, that's a different story....
