Yah, I come up with some odd questions sometimes...
Anyway... this is a question for folks familiar with Indian cuisine; as from India.
I used to get ahold of what my friend just called "crackers"; they were a very thin almost tortilla-like (but thinner, and almost translucent) "grain product" (I think, anyway).
I'd do a quick saute with a little brush of melted butter on them.
Kind of crispy, they had a notable amount of cumin in them.
The mother of an acquaintance would ship over small suitcase-size boxes of the critters & I'd wind up with the surplus.
Does anyone have a clue as to what these might have been?
Now I'm getting hungry for lefse...
