A group of us used to get an underwater Monopoly game from Milton Bradley and play a 24 hour continuous game to benefit MDA. Unfortunately, last time i called them, they no longer have an underwater game to borrow for fund raisers.

It was a lot of fun and raised money for a good cause.

chess @ the last deco stop ofcourse .......

Since you're like the second or third person I know who's mentioned this, what kind of set do y'all play with?

I used to have a magnetic travelling set, but I can't imagine it would've held up under water...

At the grotto near where I live, people add things to the walls. There are street signs...a buddah....a toilet, things like that. It makes the diving a bit more..humerous. I was thinking about putting a basketball hoop down there. Since I love basketball and diving...why not try and combine the two?

Gedunk....are you talking about the Monopoly marathon that the folks up at Scuba2000 are involved with?

Of course I wish you the best getting a basketball down there <lol>. The net would still be a great conversation piece during surface intervals. I think the warhammer could have used that other little artifact of yours. (did I go there...sheesh)

You'd have to figure out a way to weight the basketball so it wouldn't pop to the surface dragging along some poor diver in a bouyant ascent :) . Maybe attach some soft shot pouches to the ball with wetsuit glue? Unless you could figure out a way to get the shot INSIDE the basketball. That would be awesome... although there might be an issue with air consumption and increased DCS risk from underwater basketball.

She kicks hard up the center, vents air to decend, passes under the guard, up for a dunk, its GOOD!!! I like it :D

fill the ball either with water or a denser liquid. Maybe a really-high concentration salt-water solution would work well. Just a bit of negative bouyancy :) or maybe bead shot glued around seams... something to make the center of mass the center of the sphere.
