Diving off Plymouth Mass. years ago I was startled to find my usual lobster haunts crawling with conger eels. I did not know they were conger eels at the time, just big heads looking out ot lobster holes under rocks. They minded their own business and I mine. Only after looking them up did I find they exceed the MorayEel in length

Ive seen a conger eat a small torch - took it straight out of divers hand off Lundy island.
One of the funniest things ive seen underwater.

Olive oil, garlic salt and a little basil took care of the problem I had with them.
