Anyone ever dive near Crecent City?

Like most of you here, I am a Monterey, Albion diver. However, next month my wife and I are heading to a small coastal town called Crecent City. It's 20 miles soouth of the Oregon border.

I have tried to call the one dive shop in that area to no avail. The closest dive shop I can find with ANY type of info is in Grants Pass Oregon.

Anyone ever dive this area? Know of any boat launches, shore dive areas, dive operators?

I want to know if it's worth taking the gear and/or the inflatable.

Any help would be MUCH appreciated.

We're heading up that way in October.

I was stationed in the Eureka/Arcata area years ago in the CG and have family in Crescent City believe it or not, but wasn't a diver when I lived up there.
Interesting question though, I may visit up there some day.

Did a Google search and there is a dive shop in Arcata (about an hour south, if driving you'll drive right through) They may have some info
