I have had a Pro Plus 2 with quick disconnect that INITIALLY read multiple different air pressure's(never correct, compared with 3 other SPG's)when I FIRST got it. I turned the tank on and off several times....eventually read very accurate but I returned it for an exchange and the same thing happened to the 2nd Pro Plus 2. However this time the computer only misread airpressure "wrong" for the first 3 times that I turned the tank on and off. Now it has been accurate and has never happened again. I called Oceanic and they recommended I return it . I dive with redundant computers so I will send back if it happens again but I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else!!!

Thanks for the post, I'll check mine soon and see what happens.

Also, have you ever replaced the battery, then had the console say that the battery life is below 24 hrs with the bat indicator...then have it disappear?

The last couple of dives my bat indicator stayed on for awhile then went off.

I will check when I replace the battery but it may be some time!!

in fact we have sent off every unit we sold. we no longer carry it and when asked for we try to inform the buyer of our experiences.

not sure if the problem has been fixed yet or not just know it is common.

Just bought a oceanic proplus 2 from leisure pro. Attached it to a full cylinder (3400 psi) and the proplus took like 3 minutes to read out a pressure between 100-300 psi. After I purged the system the pressure reading did not go down. Instead it stayed at 300. I tried pressurizing and de pressurizing the computer and eventually the pressure read out at 400. I called leisure pro but they told me to call back tomorrow when technicians will be available. The pressure has never gone down below 300 after it got above 300 no matter how long (up to 12 hours) I left it depressurized. PS after playing alittle more found I have quick disconnect and when I released the computer from the hose it quickly went to zero but after re attachment it wont budge from zero...

I purchased a pro plus 2 about a month ago, and soon after when I would turn it on it would read 5000psi
I would turn it on and off, purg the system, and eventually it would read the correct pressure.
Not a good thing, so I sent it back and they sent me a new one no questions asked
If the new one has the same problem, it goes back and I will get something else

After the problems with the first, I Got a new oceanic Proplus 2 from LP. They did overnite it, although I had sent it to them a week before so if they had a faster turn around time they would not have had to. In the end Leisure Pro did take care of me. It got here the same nite I left for a dive trip to Cozumel so I didnt get to check it out first. It did perform flawlessly throughout the trip and I am very pleased with it. Would recommend getting a display guard.. and its not included. The display is already scratched in several places after only a handful of dives.

I have a 35 cold water dives on mine (Pro Plus 2 w/ quick disc) and no problems so far. I'm very happy with the computer so far.

I got my first Oceanic ProPlus 2 back in June and did 2 dives with it. When I got home I hooked it up to my laptop to download the dives. The downloaded fine and all was well. The next day, I did 2 more dives. All 4 showed up in the list of 25 possible logs, but the laptop could only see 3 of them. Oddly enough, it was the 1st dive on the second day that was missing, so it is not like it overwrote the oldest dive. Oceanic says the reason that all 4 show up on the Proplus2 is that the summary information is stored in a different memory area. I sent it back and had the replacement the next week.

I took the second one down to Grand Cayman and logged 26 dives on it. The second dive wouldn't show up on the laptop, but all the others downloaded fine.

Right now I don't know what to think. I guess I will keep diving with it and if it does it again, I'll exchange it and give them a few choice words at the same time.

Other than the lost log, I think the computer is great.
