Going down the 8th through the 15th for the Sammy Hagar Birthday Bash. Anyone else going. I am the only diver in the party and want to dive, trying to see if I can hookup with a group or something. Will be staying at the Villa Del Palmer.
Also, who does everyone usually use down there. Last year we used some company, cant even remember the name for the cabo palmo trip. This year thinking about the manta shop (caboscuba.com) or this underwater diversions (i think that is it) I keep reading about on the board.

Andromeda Divers is on Playa Medano (a reasonably short walk from VDP towards town on the beach), and the new Riu Palace Architectural Monstrosity has a dive op (a very short walk on the beach away from town from VDP).

I am planning a trip sometime in september

Tell Sammy Happy B-Day for me

My wife & I always use Manta (4x). Small boats (read: not crowded), friendly, mellow/laid-back diving style, and close to our hotel. They leave off the beach by The Office and the shop is 3 doors up the street. They do night dives, Cabo Pulmo, and Isla Espiritu Santo out of La Paz (dive w/sea lions in 15-20 ft; 1 hr dives! Incredible!). Have fun!

My brother is successfully talking me into going down to Cabo for the meltdown and I too would be the only diver in the group, might get a few dives in if the blood in my alcohol level rises enough. No idea where I would be staying or if I'm going yet, but I can never pass up a chance to get wet.
