I'm almost on my way to my LDS to pickup an Axis on sale for a great price. Anyone out there currently diving with one? I'd love to hear what you like or dislike about it.

Thanks!

I've got a Solaris and am quite happy with it. The biggest complaint I've heard from people is the lack of pockets. I wasn't sure if that would be an issue, then decided that if I was going to stuff my pockets I probably had to much with me.

I can stash a small slate for tic-tac-to emergencies and the roll-up pocket holds a spare light just fine.

I wouldn't have bought the pro kit if it wasn't included though. The retractor on the right hand side takes up about half the pocket space, and I don't use it anyways. I find there are enough D rings on it without being excessive (one on each hip and one on each shoulder).

Thanks mate, but I'm going to need a medium. How did you like the Axis?

Like I said for rec diving its great and it will do everything you need. If I didn't need to free up some case for other stuff I'd keep it. If this is the type of BC you need in my opinion you can't do better. Go for it.
