There you go! I stand corrected. My thought was that since one side is technically open that pressure might force the contents out based on it's attitude in the water. Similar to submerging a large container with an open end and the pressure change forcing the contents to the top. But, apparently that's not the case!

I like the Capri Sun idea best though.

CapriSun, jam the straw in the bottom of the pouch with your thumb over the straw. Take a drink, put your thumb back over the opening. Never had an issue, and I can fit several in my pockets on long dives.

CapriSun not just for your kids lunch anymore. My daughter is going to have to share now: )

I take a camelbak on longer (>2hr) dives from time to time.

I've found that the "Unbottle" works well since it has no should straps. I tied a small boltsnap onto the little webbing loop on the bottom. While I have attached it to deco and stage bottles, I've found it to be a bit bulky. I like clipping it off to a d-ring more.

Should you decide that you need some source of hydration on a dive, make sure it has a shutoff valve on the mouthpiece of the drinking tube. This will prevent water ingress (which could be gross).

Esp if someone is relieving themself --near by......
