I want to get back over to Cypress Spring, but wasn't sure how things over there are right now after all of the flooding. With no rain for a while I would guess things are starting to look good on Holmes Creek. Has anyone been out there that could share any info????

I have looked at two different hydrological graphs for Holmes Creek at Vernon, Florida and they both show that water levels are dropping. Unfortunately, I don't know how to interpret the data like on the Choctawhatchee River. For the Choctawhatchee gauge, if the levels are over 6 ft then Morrison is getting jacked-up. I don't know where that river level is for the Holmes Creek gauge yet. Here are both of the ones I was looking at for Holmes Creek:

This one is pretty cool, with some good info:

I went out there Friday(1/1/10) and it(the basin) was still blown out at 14'ish on the guages. That being said, it was barely blown and probably divable with reduced(not awefull) visibility. I was with someone who hadn't dived it, and we decided to come back when it was at its typical awesomeness for her first dive at that particular site. I think it will be divable soon if not already.

There was still a strong boil, so the cavern would be fine either way.
