My husband and I have had two wonderful days of boat diving with B&B, but they are all filled up for tomorrow, so we thought we would try shore diving. Anybody interested in joining us? Or any strong recommendations as to where we should go?

Don't ya just love them? We couldn't go out every day with B&B either. You can't go wrong with Honolua but it's a hike in. I think it's worth it.

Thanks for the recommendation!

My husband pointed out to me that I should at least have said where we are -- on Maui, essentially in Kihei, which I think most people who are familiar with B&B would know.

Anyway, we are going to adventure somewhere tomorrow!

My wife and I would love to join you but alas, we're flying out early Tues. We dove the last two days on a beautiful reef off of Keawakapu. (Jim at Maui Dreams pointed us in the right direction. 240 degrees from shore at about 40ft.)

Vis was excellent and the highlight was we got to see a very large spotted eagle ray circle around us over the reef then feed in the sand along side the reef. Outstanding!

I think it's my new favorite spot =)

Lots of people staying in other areas dive with B&B. They're worth the drive.

I always enjoy diving Ulua, 5 caves/graves or La Perouse if it's flat. Since you have interenet where you're staying check out shorediving.com for more info.

Keawakapu can be a real nice dive. I've seen Eagle Rays there an many occasions. It's a good place to find a tako too! The hardest thing about that site is getting a good parking spot so go there early if you want to make it easy on yourselves. I'm getting back to Maui on Wed. and can't wait to get back in the water. Have fun today!
