Anybody using Canon G series ?

Canon G7 in auto, no strobes, raw, post in LR is pretty much a 5-second WB job...

Do you normally use it in 'P' mode which is what I assume you mean by auto...nice pic

No, full auto...
I dont NORMALLY do that anymore though, I normally use full manual, as I have replaced the system with a DSLR

OK ... not an option on G16 .... in 'Full Auto' it's jpeg only.
To use RAW have to use P, Av, Tv or Manual modes

The G7 dont have raw unless you use chdk, so that could be why I could use full auto and raw

Get in a pool & try different modes ie Av, Tv, M etc etc........ie....(notice the Set title...)

Also.......Here's my 1st pic I took(in a practice pool setting)with my A570IS.........I knew then it was gunna 'be fine',..for me......
