Oceanic used to have good products and great customer service, but a lot has happened for the worse in the scuba industry in the last few years.
Anybody have any recent reviews of the Oceanic Pro Plus X?

Hello all,
After many hours of research, I decided to buy the Oceanic Pro Plus X. It worked great for six dives. Afterward, I rinsed everything off and was getting ready to download the dive info to my laptop. The battery had 98% when I put it down. When I came back, approximately 30 minutes lates later, the screen would not come back on. No matter what key I mash, the screen stays black. It seems as though the battery is dead. I charged it overnight last night, but no change. I do not see any way to reset the computer without opening it up, which I am sure would void my warranty. Has anyone else had this problem?

Looking for some help/lead: I have an Oceanic PPX dive computer. I used to have the PP2. I had a hard plastic clear guard/cover over the face of the PP2 that attached using double sided clear sticky dots. It was the best protector. I am looking for the same one for the PPX. Can't find one from Oceanic. Only see the thin flimsy stuff. Called local dive shop and they say the older hard plastic covers were discontinued by Oceanic. Does anyone know a vendor/manufacturer making these that will fit the PPX? Thanks much!
