Ok people page 6 of the May issue of Scuba Diving Mag is a picture of underwater ruins claiming to be off Cozume is this true?? I cant find anything about it on any sites or is this that trap of a park that feeds the dolphins so people can pay to swim with the poor confused creatures??
Thanks

I understand that they put some some Mayan statues underwater at Chancanab Marine Park. I've never dove it. Try the sunken C-53 Minesweeper is a fun dive. It's in about 85 ft to the bottom and begins at about 45 ft. The sides are cut out so it's not a tough penetration dive.

I dimly recall being told that Tulum was the most coastal of the old cities.

Yes,that's Chankanaab, just a couple of artifacts for snorkelers no ruins

Yeah, the statues at Chankanaab Park are the only artifacts that I know of underwater. I also think they are repoductions. I can't imagine the government putting real stuff underwater to have it degrade over time. They are very protective of them.
I've been studying the maya for several year and have never hear of any true underwater sites around Coz, believe me I would have hit them if I could. what a thrill, combining 2 of my passions!!!

They have a sculpture park off of Club Cozumel Caribe. Different but neat. That is if they will let you dive there now. They have gone condo.
