My husband and I are hoping to head to Little Cayman the first week in March (subject to availability of flights and a bed) :) Does anyone have any opinions on which resort to pick - presuming that at this late date we have any choices?? We aren't too fussy - not into big touristy type places but haven't seen any of those in any of my LC searches.. The more dives the better (with a good dive op - small groups prefered) and it's always nice to end the day with a good meal!! Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks

Have you looked at Little Cayman Beach Resort? We stayed at Cayman Brac Beach Resort, LCBR's comparative lodging on the Brac, and really loved it.

The dive operation was great and the food was great, too.

Your choices are:

Little Cayman Beach Resort- Reef Divers- 3 dives per day
Conch Club Condos-Conch Club Divers-2-3 dives per day (Or Reef Divers)
Southern Cross Club-Southern Cross Divers-3 dives per day
Pirates Point-Pirates Point Divers-2 dives per day
Paradise Villas-Conch Club Divers- 2-3 dives per day
The Club Condos-Reef Divers-3 dives per day
Private homes???

Meals plans at Conch Club and The Club can be obtained with Little Cayman Beach Resort

Shore diving is not very common on Little Cayman

Hope that helps.

Thanks for your input everyone! Reefduffer - great trip report!! I think at this point it's a toss up between LCBR and Southern Cross Club. I'm leaning more towards SCC as from what I've been reading the groups on the boats are smaller than LCBR.... (I wouldn't say that the group sizes at LCBR are quite "cattle boat" size so no offence meant - however - the smaller the better) Does anyone have any idea if my perception is right or was it just good luck for those that were reporting???
