Hey all, I just bought an s95 and an Ikelite housing for my first camera (first shots will be in Cozumel!:D) I guess I fail at searching the forums, because I haven't seen any underwater photos or videos with an S95. Are the photos going to be pretty much like the S90 photos? I know there are some optics changes from the 90 to the 95.

Thanks for any help!

That is because nobody has a S95 yet, the photos will be exactly like those from a S90 save for the video which I don't use so cannot answer.

There are no "optic" changes or any other changes of note between the two cameras, S90 vs S95 save for the HD video.

I'm looking forward to seeing your Cozumel pictures taken with the s95! When are you going?

My s95 is supposed to arrive next Tuesday along with a Canon U/W housing and I will be posting pictures taken here in the dark~n~murky.

Perhaps optics was the wrong word, but I read that the resolution was lowered to 10 megapixel from 14. It's good to hear that it won't make much of a change from the s90.

Hey Uncle Pug!

I am going to Cozumel on October 11th. I know what you mean about the murky! I live in Arkansas, so I will be sure to post some photos of the trip so I can remember what clear water looks like. :rofl3: I'm looking at Eagle Ray as my dive operation while I'm down there. :snorkel2:

That is incorrect, both the S90 and the S95 have the same 10MP sensor. There are some minor changes in the sensor and some of the software. The BIG difference for videophiles and the only one of real significance is the addition of HD video. For those who like to shoot video clips that is a big difference. From a photography standpoint, there will be no difference, particularly regarding underwater operation.

OK, I got my S95 in and it's a wonderful camera. When I get my housing later this week I will go test it in the pool and see how the video is. I will upload an underwater video for you guys. They said it should arrive around this coming weekend. Sorry, no nearby water for great video, it's either the swimming pool or a water hazard. lol

Uncle Pug -- Let's get together soon and take pictures and compare -- my Pen against your S95 -- what do you say, 60 minutes, max depth of 15 FSW, Edmonds?
