I wouldn’t hold your breath waiting for the stiffer Vector compound. There’s a demand signal for the “Vector Pro S” out there (apparently JJ himself) but it seems not enough to warrant a production run.

I did handle the new heavier weight inserts. They're HEAVY.

I think I’m going to maximize the Vectors I’ve got and definitely add the Deep 6 Heavy Eddys to the quiver when they hit US shores.

Thank you! I am thinking of getting them without ballast/weights.

Are they needed - even with drysuits?

I am not dry suit certified yet, neither do i own a pair of jetfins. I need a pair of non-rec fins, and would prefer something lighter for travel (only dive trips for me). My wife will be getting a pair of pink Deep6/Jetfins

If you’re looking for a warm water, wetsuit fin, I’d skip the pricey Vectors. There are plenty of other fins that shine in this category (Deep6 Eddy, DR XT, some SP models, Fourth Element, etc).

The Vectors with the removable weights are intended to span from wetsuit (no weights) to drysuit duty (weights inserted).

And purchasing the Vector without the weights seems like a superfluous purchase at ~$100 more than a regular fin. That would be like purchasing a 200m reel and only loading it with a spool length of line (i.e, 60m or less).
