No restrictions other than in NY you are supposed to dive with a dive flag. I had about 12 dives there last summer. Good for practice. Visibility is not great. Thermocline tends to be about 25 feet. Below that summer temps are about 50 F. DEC has something on their website about diving in NY.

Is there anything to see in Mirror Lake? I've dove a couple other lakes and ponds in the area. Suggestions for other locations to dive?

Thanks

Patrick

My most interesting dive in Mirror Lake was when I came upon about 75 perch each about 12 inches in a little bait ball. I was literally in the bait ball.
