Looks like I'm going to purchase this regulator. I was thinking at least someone would try to talk me out of it but it looks like everyone is happy with theirs. Thanks for the information.

All that's left is a short dip in the LDS pool to make absolutely sure this is the one for me.

Thanks again! :)

I like those guys. Of the 12 or so scuba shops around town, I think they're certainly one of the best. Looks like Scubaland is expanding south of town, so that will get us back to the same number of shops as before Ocean's Window shut down. Let us know how it turns out. You dive in the lake?

Yeah, that MIGHT have really happened.

You've never seen people abuse their equipment? If you're ever in Austin, let me know and I'll arrange a display of some of the better stuff that I've come across....

I have no doubt that using a first stage as a hammer is a very bad idea. I also have no doubt that the truth of the previous statement hasn't stopped anyone from doing it.

Where is Scubaland opening thier new store? It would be nice to have another LDS in South Austin (our motto - "A nice place to buy auto parts")

William Cannon, btw Mopac and Brodie. It'll be right behind that Hollywood video (near Firestone, across William Cannon from HEB).

We purchased 2 of these today and I think I got a great price. I jumped in the pool with the regulator and thought it was nice. The bubble intereferance was only noticable when upright and even then it wasn't bad at all. The dive shop was very helpful with the purchase and even stayed open an extra hour so I could make sure this was the right one for me. I'll be trying it out for real in lake travis Memorial Day weekend then it's off to Roatan for a week of diving.

Thanks to everyone for their opinions on this.
