Has anyone flown this airlines?? They 'seem' to have some killer deals.

I made the mistake of doing that once. I was held over for about seven hours in Melboune, Florida with no honest indication about the trouble. Every hour an insincere 23-25 year-old nasty, overworked brat of a supervisor would make an announcement that the situation would be resolved in approximately 40 minutes. Then, an hour later, she would make the same statement. That continued for hours.
I can understand problems sometimes/often arise to necessitate delays. However, a little honesty could have gone a long way. Instead, she jerked us around for a long time and never answered a question truthfully. I still think back on that as the worst airline experience that I've had.

We flew them to Detroit once and had no problem.

they lost two of my bags once on the way to cave country.
one finally caught up with me by the end of the trip, the other found
it's way into a black hole... i made them pony up $2500 for it.

They are about the same as ATA or any other discount airline. Usually you'll get where you need to go, but if there's a problem they have fewer resources than other airlines to deal with it. Basically, I choose discount airlines when getting somewhere on-time doesn't matter. When it does (like flying to Miami to board a cruise ship) I use a more reliable carrier.

My 2¢

Be gentle, I work for them, I couldn't find real work. Spirit is currently changing over to an all Airbus fleet from the DC9/MD80s. The old days of maxing out on baggage and having to send it later should be gone. They're adding a lot of Caribbean Dest. this year out of FL. They might run late but rarely cancel.

I have flown them often from Chicago to Ft. Lauderdale. Generally they are as good as any other airline.

They have reduced the number of flights recently. Now there is only one flight each day, instead of three.

I cant find any schedule to anywherre in the caribbean
