Jerry, I've had a couple emails and also there have been posts about Jeremy on cozumelmycozumel. As of last weekend we are still confirmed to dive Dec 10-13. If the boat he uses isn't available, then I'm sure he'll have something else arranged. When are you going?

Scubawife, thanks for your post. I will be with a party of 7 (six divers) and we will be in Cozumel from Dec 30 to Jan 6. Four of us (the young whippersnappers) will be completing their open water certifications with Jeremy---at least that's what I hope will happen. I can't imagine a better divemaster to dive with the first time, as my wife and I enjoyed diving with him so much.

I spoke with Jeremy last night for about half an hour. He called and told me that he was ready to dive and that like most dive operators in Cozumel he was upset that many of the airlines had cancelled or reset flights until about mid December.

We are confirmed on Continential and will be diving with Jeremy for five days starting on November 20th. Although his boat was damaged he has lined up another boat and will be assessing the damage and repair costs to the LU boat.

Jeremy has had electricity and phone service for several days but no internet. He's making trips to one of the local internet cafes to stay in touch with clients.

Since he has no one to take diving right now he is supervising repairs on our house. A great friend and a super guy to dive with.

Jim, good to hear Jeremy's lined up a boat and is ready to dive. Not so good that he has no divers. That's got to be frustrating for all the operators right now.

The airlines are not making it easy to get there! We were originally on non-stop flts from Newark to Cancun. The outbound was cancelled so since we had to connect, we asked for Cozumel. That connecting flight changed twice in one day. Now, when I do a search on their site there is no service from Houston to Coz the day we are scheduled (still no changes appearing to my itinerary). They do still show service to Cancun so looks like we'll back to Cancun.

I called today to sort it out and Continental just asked my travel date then told me the automates msg is calling passengers according to travel date and I should have a call within about 10 days. Wouldn't even take my conf nbr. Nice! In the time it took them to tell me that, they could have had one less person to call! Then again, who knows how many more changes there will be before we depart. Just hope we will be able to be accomodated. We have no intention of canceling this trip if it's up to us!
