I'm going to be in the Los Angeles area Saturday 2/21/04 for business. Unfortunately there won't be time for diving, but I can squeeze some time in for any "must go" shops located between LAX and Ventura. Any suggestions?

If you mean scuba shops, I suggest Reef Seekers Dive Shop in Beverly Hills. Ask for the owner, Ken Kurtis NAUI#5936. He knows more about scuba than almost anyone else that I know, although he is still in the old school of pre-EANx diving, where he disagrees with that Voodoo gas!

Are you looking for anything in particular?

a friend of me, asked me the same, good dive shops where to find accesories and differents models of wet suits at Los Angeles Area....

if you can post also some addresses and phone number will be appreciated.

thanks.

If you just need to see a really well stocked store there is Pacific Wilderness in San Pedro, or SSA in Woodland Hills (just a short excursion from the Freeway on the way out to Ventura).

Dive and Surf in Redondo Beach is a huge store, and they're having an annual parking lot sale unti 2/29 (I think). It's probably pretty picked over by now, but if you find anything you want, it will typically be about 10-20% off list price.

Hollywood diver supply they have the best web page I have ever seen.
The shop is big , and they are realy nice people

Thanks for recommendations. I'm just looking for a well stocked, friendly shop to kill some time in. It will be nice to see what a "real" dive shop should look like. Most shops here in land-locked Arizona are small and not well stocked.

Hollywoodivers certainly maintains a large inventory.
