I'm a Fish!
hello!
i am planing a diving safari with my wife, to the maldives on june-july '07. i am interested to hear from you guys any advise regarding what liveaboard should i choose? what are the nicer reefs for this season? and what to avoid!
thanx!!!:crafty:
p.s. does any1 knows when and where is the place to see whales in the maldives? not whale sharks:D

There are any number of liveaboards in the Maldives.

Each caters to a specific need of the style of diver they typically attract.

What pace (quantity) of diving do you desire, what level of poshness... or?

Fill out your dive profile for much better responses.

i am a DM and my wife is a AOW diver, we are 27 years old& its a kind of a honey moon for us, but we do not need a posh or luxury boat. nor do we want a backpackers one...
we are looking for a nice boat, easy going& good company, we don't want a 12 days trip with 12 other people that speek no english...
well, i hope you are getting my drift.
thanks !

dakar,
welcome to this board.
in '03 i went on this liveaboard.

there were 2 couples that week who were on honeymoon.
i was the only american guest.
however all the european divers spoke english.
half the crew spoke english.
i've been told the vessel is not luxury but you could have fooled me.
we dove the suvadiva atoll.

i find it hard to explain the maldives to caribbean divers.
everything was a lot different from my experiences.
the critters, the reefs and the dive sites were all different.
i mean this in a good way.

you should not find it hard to plan your adventure.
there are many european dive brothers on this board that would be glad to give you their recommendations.

by filling out your profile sb members will be better able to advise you.
try and do a search under the asian forum and you will see alot of good info.
please let us know how your trip went and upon your safe return post a trip report.
regards,
