hey santefejoe, yeah, they gave him the C which i'm actually upset about. While Crosby is a great player and will be a force in the league for many years, I don't think he's ready for the C. It's not a knock on his ability, it's because he's a second year player. Just how much can a 19 y/o second year player bring to the locker room filled with guys that are proven veterans like Recchi and LeClair. Personally I think Recchi should be the Captain because he's been on Stanley Cup winners before and has been around long enough. I think the Pens are treating him like the franchise player he is going to be, but too early. Maybe an A would be in line right now, but not the C.

Hey i have to agree with you on that 100% he is to young so an A on the sweater would of been just fine.I would of like to of seen Recchi with the big C.

You are probably right. Last year the media said he would lose his cool and start taking bad penalties. He got tired of losing and got physical when it wasn't needed. Not the sign of a good captain. Give him time, and he'll be a good captain. Having a guy like Recchi to mentor him though....
