yeah, things like that are are part of family history, you should never part from it. My father still has the bayonet tip from his grandfather from WWI (I hope to be the next in line for that).

The guy I know who's got the old helmet owes me a big favor. Oh, and it's not a family heirloom and he has more than one. I'll still see what I can do. Might cost you a guided dive, later, though.

cfdfirediver:
Old fire helmets are hard to come by and firefighters are VERY reluctant to get rid of them.

This is the absolute truth. I don't have an old one, but several of my friends have them, and you'd have to pry their cold, dead fingers off of them before you could have them.

I wish I could help you, I still owe you one for fixing that picture for me last year, but all the suggestions I would have have already been given to ya.

Looks like chances are pretty good on this one. My friend needs to remember where he put the helmets. He's a packrat, good thing he's got a lot of storage. Anyway, sounds like we're pretty much good to go.

OK I just wanted to say a BIG thank you to all of those that helped me, help my daughter. You are fantastic!!!

I missed this untill now, ya want mine?
