My husband and I just got back a couple of weeks ago. We stayed at the Marriott. The hotel was really nice, was above our expectations. We dove with the dive bus and ocean encounters west, both were great operations. Be sure you dive Alice in Wonderland/playa Kalki, and Porto Marie.

Misplaced Priority:
Are all the dive bus dives from shore? I did not see anything about a boat on their website?

They arrange boat dives, using operaters like sunset, or the water taxi to "boat only" sites.

you can use their site or just email mark and suzy at suzy@the-dive-bus.com

scubatexastony,
thank you!!!!!!
your above post is the most informative one i have ever read about curacao.
they should make it a sticky and then people will have their questions answered without making a new thread.
regards,

Try not to do any boat dive if you can help it. U will waste your money. Most boat dives are only a shore dive with a little swim. I have a bout 25 dives in curacao. We usually rent a car and drive to a differnet dive site for each dive. Usually, we get to a shore dive to have a dive boat in the same location. The only dive that a boat is required is the mushroom forest. If U do not mind not have a dive master on your dive, a car is your best bet. $8 X 2 (tanks) for a shore dive vs $75 for a boat dive. Dive bus is simalar to the car. Much cheaper per dive. i think it was around $25 for a 2 bus dive.

scubatexastony,
thank you!!!!!!
Your welcome, and thanks for the compliment.

We'll be here for about another 16 months, so I'll try to keep up with more reports on the diving. We had a nice couple dives this past Sunday at Porta Marie, and I finally found one of the seahorses there. Still hunting the elusive frogfish!
