I am tired of being landlocked during the cold months and not being able to dive comfortably in Lanier during the winter, especially the winter we've had.

So I am taking the "plunge" and getting a Pinnacle EVO2 drysuit soon. I wanted to know if any of you guys dive this particular drysuit and how you like it?

THANKS!

I do. I really like it. I also have the Pinnacle Evo merino lined undergarments which I have dove down to 42 degrees (3 hours) comfortably. This undergarment is very buoyant however, just to bear that in mind. I calculate 22lbs to sink it. The suit comes with a bag that zips out flat to make a changing mat, a 7mm trimmable hood, and the inflator hose. Check out the prices at leisurepro then visit Susan at Divers Supply in Doraville she should match the price.

the drysuit itself is a very sturdy material. It is thicker but less stiff than the coated fabric used on USIA and similar suits. it is about as thick but more flexible than the Typhoon material, it is however much stiffer than the DUI suits (but much less expensive). I really like the telscoping torso design and standard suspenders.

when fitting the suit make sure to wear the undergarments you will dive with and make sure you can reach behind your head without pulling at the underarms. mine does a bit and makes it more difficult for me to do valve shutdowns.

Its an excellent suit! Tough as nails and one of our top sellers along with the Fusion. Both for different types of divers. The Evo 2 is a rigid suit at first but will loosen up after being dove a few times. Its a great value including the pockets, extremely durable outer tr-lam, comfortable, thick, durable seals. The only thing is make sure you get the right fit. If not, it wont be as good of a suit....Drysuits are only as good as how they fit!! If you need a measurement form, PM me your email and I will send you one. Pinnacle will also customize/alter this suit for the best fit....Dont be afraid to ask for help in picking your size ;)

Thanks, Flightlead. I plan on getting a custom EVO2, just to make sure on my size. There is no dealer in Atlanta that stocks these suits for me to try on from what I've heard. I will probably deal with a dealer out of state. I've talked to a few that have installment plans that will make the purchase a little more bearable for me to handle at this time. Do you have any pictures of you wearing the suit so I see it on a real person instead of the mockup ads in catalogs.
I should have fit into a XLS, but my measurements don't quite sync in like I would like.

Hi,Mike. You and I are already talking. I'll wait to hear from you next week on your best price on a custom EVO2 from Pinnacle. I'll be out of town this weekend.
Thanks,

LOL....I thought that was you, but then I thought your handle was JBORG....ah well...you get a double dose of my advice....bad for you:eyebrow:

Im gone this weekend too, we will hook up next week, work out all the kinks, let you beat me up on price ;), and get your suit ordered :D

Have a great weekend John

To be honest there is another Shark(just kidding) in the water who saw my post as well. It's a local dealer that is trying to get my business as well. The payment plan is the going to be the only way for me go with anyone right now for this to be feasible for me.
This is a major outlay of funds either way, so I will have to make a large part of my decision on price. We'll see next week. I don't expect for anyone to sell the suit at 0 profit either.
